Looking at a Used Harley Sportster 1200 custom 06

Seen a used Sportster 1200 2006, 1000 miles , in the classified adds, color
black options sissy bar.Is 1000 miles considered low or adverage mileage.

I have not seen the bike as of yet, but when I look at it what should I be
looking for other than the obvious, dents, bent wheels, service records.I am

Definitely check on the 175 mile service. A lot of people skip it, and
move right onto the 200 mile service, so it's a good idea to scrutinize
the records.

going to take someone with me that is a qualified rider to inspect and ride
the bike as I haven't ridden in a few years.

The owner wants $9500.00 or best offer. Assuming its in great condition
whats a reasonable offer, I would think at 1000 miles and not being layed
down it should be in like new condition.

Sounds like you should be looking at '07s then, right? As a bonus you'll
get EFI. The "best offer" price would have to be *far* lower than an '07
before I would even consider it. YMMV.

If the bike is in absolutely perfect condition , IMHO , 7500.00 would be a
very fair offer .
