Roadtech GPS

I would gladly test this for you, but I don't have US maps and I live
in Europe, the Netherlands. So this is not gonna work I'm afraid.

Tomtom can work with full addresses, postal codes (zip codes you call
it I think) or by simply pointing out a place on the map.

It does give the coordinates from the place were you are, or were you're
riding at that moment. But it can't navigate by giving it some
coordinates.

I just planned a route to a street and housenumber in Stockholm
(1400km from were I live) which takes less than 10 seconds, but I
haven't figured out how to get the coordinates of that address. OTOH
why do we need to know the coordinates? It brings me to the frontdoor.
It navigates on roads (even small unpaved ones, you'll be amazed...).

A very nice feature is that you can let him warn you about gasstations,
restaurants, ATM's, swimming pools, trainstations, cinema's
whatever...Those are standard features.

I downloaded some extra 'point of interests' like those poles next to
the side of the road, which measure your speed and take a cute little
photo of you when you're traveling to fast. How do you call those
=20
Even if you had the US Maps, putting in that address won't get you=20
closer than 1 mile from the actual coordinates, if it can even find it.
Why not? What's with the address?

I did find this through web-search:

But that's the neighbour I think :)
I don't know what's with the address, other than it's out in the middle=20
can't find it.

This is it on mapquest
dtohistory=3D&searchtab=3Dhome&formtype=3Daddress&popflag=3D0&latitude=3D=
&longitude=3D&name=3D&phone=3D&level=3D&cat=3D&address=3D736+manning+gin+=
rd.+se&city=3Dmonroe&state=3Dga&zipcode=3D30656
and it's off by at least a mile.

Yahoo maps puts it in the same place, again, off by a mile.
monroe%2C+ga+30656&country=3Dus&new=3D1&name=3D&qty=3D

The address that it's placing it at is actually at 1036 or something=20
Yahoo maps don't work for me (US&Canada only) Mapquest is very accurate
to find my home address. Weird that it doesn't work for your address.
Maybe if you knew someone who uses Tomtom. It makes me very curious if
that works better. As said earlier, my experience is that if there is
a road and housenumber it will find it.

like that.

Nope, that's me :) A very old resume (at least 2 or 3 years old) with=20
the wrong postal code (I mistyped it) that I had placed there for=20
someone and forgot it was still there. Thanks, now I can delete it or=20
update it :)
Well I see we work in the same business, except your resume is more
impressive than mine :)
BTW: I seems it's deleted already from the original site, it's left in
the web-search cache.

Oh, and if one can find where I actually live, most people hesitate when =

the see the sign at the beginning of the driveway that says "I WOULD=20
TURN BACK NOW IF I WERE YOU" and the rest do turn around when they see=20
the next sign a little further "IF YOU CAN READ THIS YOU ARE IN RANGE"=20
that has a few bullet holes through it :)
n
Figures! The Mapquest- and Yahoo people who drove around to place you on
their maps saw those signs too! So they put your house on a safe
Hehe, could be :)

distance on the map :)

things? Speed Radar? Now it warns me 250 mtrs before I pass one. GREAT!
Hey All,
Got a Street Glide coming. Already had a Garmin Quest. Not exactly the same
as Roadtech Quest (RTQ). Harley won't let the dealership points of interest
download to the regular Quest. I was wondering if anyone with a RTQ could
save the dealerships for Wisconsin, Minnesotta, and South Dakato to a map
that I might be able to load into my regular Quest for my travels.
