1928 Harley front hub.

A friend of mine here in sunny Denmark has a 1927 Harley with sidecar.
Now, as you all know, the '27 model had no front brake, and this causes, to
put it
mildly, rather interesting riding.
However he has managed to get his hands on a hub from 1928, complete with
brake drum, and
all the dooh-dahs necessary for the function thereof.
The front wheel has now been restrung using the "new" hub, but when we tried
to fit the wheel
something didn't seem right. He had turned new distance-pieces to fit the
spindle, welded an
anchor-bracket onto the fork leg for the stay-bar, and all seemed well but
still something's wrong.
The brakeplate seems to wobble about, and we think there's something
missing.

Is there anywhere we can get an exploded view diagram of a '28 Harley front
hub?

(I don't know if this is the proper forum for this sort of question but
someone will probably
inform me which news group would be more appropriate).

Thanks in anticipation,
Bill, DK
Yeah, buy a drink over there and ask your question. There's a few
that hang out there that are into older iron. There's one who does
Harley racing from your part of the world if Sweden is your
near your part of the world.
