Bike road block?

That was unusual!

Just going throught he village centre and a Harley is
stopped across my side of the road, and a 'busa blocking
the other side, and about 50 assorted bikes come trundling
from Ollerton road and wobble off towards Lincoln - and
some of them were distinctly wobbly!

Then the Hardly pilot sets off - almost into the side of
the cage which followed the bikes out, thanked me for
stopping, and he and the 'busa set off, presumably to do
the same trick when they get to the A57 junction.
If you do a North London based Bikesafe course, you'll find the police
riders doing a similar thing for the students - riding ahead to stop the
traffic at junctions so the riders can roar through with a clear road.
Difference is that you're obliged to stop for a copper - anyone else
doing this deserves to be ignored, at best.
I'd be tempted to stop right in front of the person doing the stopping.

Didn't do it myself (mine was at the South London location), but friends who
have say that they've never gone through London so fast.
Almost worth doing just for the experience of a zero traffic jam / zero
stop ride through London.
