Moto Guzzi Breva 750 opinions for tall ex-BMW rider

Has anyone ridden the 2006 Breva 750? If so, what did you think?
No, I've not tested a Guzzi for several years.

I had an '85 BMW R80 from 1995-2005. That was about the perfect bike
...

for me. Low maintenance, hard luggage, very upright seating position. I
was a fool to sell it, esp. for the low price I got, but I thought I
was done with motorcycling (wrong). I don't need a whole lot of
acceleration to make me happy, but do want to be able cruise an
Interstate if I have to.

My understanding is that Guzzis are upright and comfortable, and that
they last forever, but that you have to do a fair amount of your own
maintenance. That's fine with me, as long as it is maintenance that can
be accomplished with a decent home shop. The airhead BMW was fantastic
in that regard.
Guzzis are nice looking bikes but I've always figured airheads
had a much richer supply of spares and expertise. An R100
should be a little more freeway capable than the R80. Maybe
$3-5k for a nice low mileage used one. with aftermarket goodies.
Those would be my thoughts as well, Rob. BMW parts for older models are
easier to find - easy to find. Further, every 80's and early 90's Goose
I sat on seemed to have a shorter distance between seat and pegs, making
them less comfortable for the taller person.

A late 80's R100RT should be around $3K.
Want my opinion?
