Guzzi spares sources
|
I seem to have acquired a cosmetically challenged T4 and am immediately in
need of a centre stand that will actually raise the rear wheel off the
ground and a sidestand that isnt snapped.
|
They all do that. Centre stands 'sag' with age.
|
I am sure that a longer and more expensive list will be along shortly so
where are likely places to source spares?
|
For new spares I tend to use Spares GB AKA Corsa Italiana. They're my
most common port of call.
For secondhand stuff, there's Motomecca in Dorset who possibly have
odd used spares but be warned that their pricelist is way out of date.
It's also just possible that Motorworks *might* have some odds left,
though they've given up doing Guzzi stuff.

I use these:
Corsa Italia are supposed to be ok too.

When you say you need a centre stand which actually gets the rear wheel off
the ground, do you mean you do have a stand but it doesn't work properly? If
so, just check that you have the bearing sleeves on the pivot, if they are
missing, the stand is not straight. Also the stops can wear badly, but a bit
of weld will easily build them up.
Another useful source of parts is Teo Lamers in Nederlands, Nijmegen to be
precise. They are probably Europe's larges spares place, and I have found
that they are often cheaper than the UK places even after you add carriage.
They all speak good english.
There is also a place in the Mandello region in Italy, but can't recall the
name at the moment.

I've used these guys a few times.
Best place to go is to the V-Twin Rally at Ringwood, Aug bankholiday
weekend. Big time Guzzi autojumble there.
