UKRM Undergound Railway - Paris

Is anyone going to/near Paris soonish after next Friday & would have
space to take a front mudguard?
Going to Chimay. Could arrange an RV in the hotel in Cambrai on the
evening of the 14th.
Thanks for the offer but I think that's a bit far out of Paris. His
fuel costs to collect it would be pretty much what postage from here
would cost.
If the UR via darsy etc is logistically challenged then I am off to the
Black Forest via Le Havre next month. I'll be travelling down the M4 to get
to Portsmouth on 15 Aug, overnight ferry, through Paris[1] on 16 Aug to
Black Forest. Return leg will involve an overnight stop near Roissy/CDG on
21st as I'm taking the sprog to Parc Asterix.
A 'Plan B' - marvellous! I wasn't going to bother asking about the
underground railway to Nairobi, but maybe I should...
I was just talking to my mum last night about taking the grandparents out to
Malindi for a week as they used to live there.
Fancy leaving one of them behind & taking a fairing sub-frame instead?
TTYTT I could quite happily leave both behind, but that would be unfair.

I don't think we'll be going til late oct/nov though.

PS - Anyone know the best deals on flights to Kenya ?

[1] I'm driving 400 miles that day so I'd rather do an exchange on the
return leg as ton ami can come to my hotel. I can even leave it at
reception if he gets all gallic with punctuality.
depends on what you mean by "soonish". I'll be there end July/start of
August.
That would be soon enough.
Where abouts in Paris does it need to go? I'll be at La Defense via
Gare du Nord, but can be a bit flexible.

How big's the mudguard?
If I just wrap it in bubblewrap it'll be about 700mm x 240mm x 240mm.
plastic or metal?
I wasn't so much concerned about the weight as to putting it through
the metal detector at Waterloo International.
Ah right. It's completely metal-free.

Anyway, let me know when the auction's finished.
Will do.

It's not pink, is it?

Should be feasible - now you just need to the Swindon (or where-ever
it is you are) -> Enfield leg of the ukrm-ur sorted.

My suggestion would be via Aylesbury, passed to someone else at the
pub who also works in The City. Paging dwb or Statto, perhaps?
