Looking for parts

Looking for the left and right footpeg supports for any Dyna/Evo. Have a 94
FXDWG, looking to put a set of rider pegs on it in the mid-ship position for
more comfort on those long hauls. Getting a little long in the tooth, and
looking for comfort. A lot of folks put forward controls on various Dynas,
and pull the mid-ships off. Noticed that my frame has the mounting holes
pre-drilled. Should be an easy mod. Been to several swap meets and have
checked online, unable to find any used. Any help would be appreciated in
locating said parts. thanks.

You might try looking on eBay. A search for "Dyna footpeg" will
probably turn them up if they are there. If you want to search a eBay
category look in:
Once you're narrowed down to that category, you might try a search for
"support" or "controls" or both. I see those there fairly regularly.

I have a '97 FXD with standard controls and fold down highway pegs on
the forward control mounts They've worked out perfect for me. My pegs
are the "ISO" type with the rubber cushioning inserts and those are
pretty comfortable.

Using the forward highway pegs gives me a slightly flexed relaxed leg
position that is very comfortable. I change back to the standard pegs
in town or heavier traffic. I get some discomfort in my hip joints after
a while with the standard controls and the highway pegs quickly ease
that. An occasional change from one to the other feels good.

I always go for the front brake first and then back it up with some rear
brake so I don't think using the forward pegs costs me much or any
reaction time. And I can also up and down shift using my my heel for
passing.

I really don't know how anyone can get comfortable with only forward
controls. I looked at some used bikes with those. For me it is really
strange to me to not be able to raise my weight off the saddle with my
legs. I could handle foot boards but not forward controls only.

"Long in the tooth and looking for some comfort". I like that
expression, that is exactly what got me off of a Buell M2 and onto the
Dyna. The Buell was fun but it is a younger guys bike, especially after
the first hour. The Dyna is the perfect bike for me right now. I'm
thinking maybe a bagger in another few years or maybe for long duration
cruising.
