Sport Bike Mileage

How many miles can you expect a sportbike to give you?
I got 49 mpg on a consitent basid with my YZF600R. The RC51 gets
about 30 to 34 - although I've gotten as high as 40 mpg under the
right conditions.

No I mean how many miles will a bike last you?
Depends on how you treat it. Some riders ruin a bike in 20K miles, but the
guy who takes care of his sportbike might get 100K out of it.

After 100K, the bike is probably going to look like it's been thrashed though,
from minor incidents, not major wrecks.

Sorry, I didn't mean how many mpg.
I dunno what the I4s get. But I got 62MPG going up to a customer's
facility this morning on my wife's Buell XB9SX. Average speed about 80MPH.
About 30-40 mpg on the 1098. She's a thirsty little B.
My R6 gives me around 30 mpg.
Thanks alot guys
I refer you to Pete's reply:
They'll last as long as you want to keep them tuned up. Mine is at 36,000
miles and climbing (2002 model). I expect I could get well over 100,000
miles from it if I continue appropriate maintenance.
More miles than most of us will ride it without getting bored.
I met a rider who had a 2001 600cc F4i with 60k miles before he bought a KTM
Superduke.

My F4i has 20k miles with only one dealer service. And I get between
40-50mpg.

Justin
None. You will pay dearly for gasoline, oil changes, and new tires every 5K
to 8K miles.
I just filled up mine, 51mpg, mostly commuting. It hasn't been itself
lately.
