A good Buell writeup.

Troy, you might actually enjoy this :)
It was a good read. Now...take that guy and his favorite Buell, and put him
on some Jap standard like an FZ1, and flog the two of them on the track to
see what happens.

I think in a non Japanese world I could live with a big do-it-all like the
Uly or the shorter version, unfortunately, there is competition.
You're Famous!
Famous... Naah. Chris just liked what I did with my bike. As did a bunch
of Buell engineers I met up with today.
My favorite line:

"I was able to spin from side to side with wonton abandon in Road
America's tight, tricky chicane"
I think RRW had a good article on it too.

I like what you did with your TT. How is the wind blast on the highway
with the Firebolt cowling - a bike that can do double duty for the long
haul plus fun in the twisties once you get to where you were going?

- Kurt
I don't get sportbike guys discussing wind protection. My FJR has
wind protection, my Ducs had absolutely nothing unless you tucked your
chin on the tank. It didn't matter either, since with a good helmet
ala Shoei, wind noise was practically nothing as the aerodynamic
design of the lid is so effective at smoothly cutting the air.
Furthermore, taking wind off of your chest on a bike that requires you
to hold up a pushup indefinitely is not a benefit in my mind. FWIW,
wind noise from my well protected FJR is much worse than any sportbike
as the top of the screen creates head level turbulence that is noisey
as hell.
Well, I for one would like some more wind protection.

Riding at 90mph for an hour in strong cross winds my neck gets really tired
from all the buffeting.
Then slow down or buy a touring bike. An extra 2 inches from an
aftermarket screen do nothing except direct the turbulent blast closer
to head level.
Thanks a lot Steve. Now you've gone and given me a good case buyer's
remorse.
Naah, you'll get that in a week :)
