Snow Run '06
|
Had a good time, well that might be an understatement. Rode
all the way home in a driving sprinkle, not too bad just that
damp feeling. Got in about 11am just in time to take over
parenting duty for the rest of the weekend,
Personal totals for the weekend: 300 miles
on the chopper buell without incident, 3 POS brit bikes
enroute to OK, lots of familiar faces & some new ones,
and too many good times to count.
And I can't wait to see the photo shoot results of The
Goddess on the chopper buell.

Fred, really glad you made it on your new Chopper, love the bike, you
did a great job!!
got me thinking about a softtail project for my sporty!!

Made it in myself around 2something . Got a few miles south of Pete's ,
and my alternator quit charging ... made sure the plug was seated , it came
back . And then died again on I-40 haulin' ass east . Three times we stopped
, (JD n Rachel were with me partway) the last time it looked like it wasn't
coming back . So we made one last gas stop , they headed south and I hauled
ass east on I-40 with my lights off . A little while later , it started
charging again . Real flaky , came and went , so I figgered the regulator
was going TU . Got home and checked it , the way I was inserting the plug
was distorting the top female connection . Pulled the reg , straightened the
plug , and inserted it straight , all seems to be working again .

Thanks for calling and letting me know you made it. I called JD a few
minutes after I got off the phone with you, they made it to their
destination safely. He's got your cell # now too.

Me2, wish I coulda made it this year but I got a houseful of company right
now. Glad you had a blast and a safe ride.

Well, they say the 3rd time's the charm. Hopefully we'll see ya next
year, if not sooner.

We had a blast and really enjoyed ourselves. It was great to see
everyone again. Thanks Pete and Jackie for putting on such a
great shindig!

Yeah, great hosts, and a fantastic place for the Snow Run. Pete
mentioned next year before Molly and I left, I guess we didn't get too
loud yet.
