BUELL BLAST REAR SHOCK UPGRADE WANTED

I have a 2000 Buell Blast I'm really very happy with. Great thumper to
bop around the city on. HOWEVER, I'm a big guy and so is my girlfriend
who loves riding with me. Needless to say, it takes a whole lot out of
the Blast suspension and makes it bottom out easily. Hopefully, someone

on this board will know how to fix this problem or where to go to get
an aftermarket shock. Finding an aftermarket shock to date has been
impossible. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Many thanx and best regards,

Dave

Is a heaver rate shock spring available for your bike? That would be a
huge step in the correct direction.

A company such as Works Performance should be able to custom build a
shock to accommodate you and your lady.
They list the Blast on this chart:

The table on the page labeled:
"For All 94-02 Buell Models (Except XB9R/S), 175-225 pound rider"

Incidentally, this is the first page that came up when I typed
"replacement shock buell blast" into web-search. HTH
