anyone in the SE got a BMW R1100S that they'd yes to CIHAGM?
|
as per subject - toying with the idea of a lot of different bikes at
the moment, and one is the R1100S - I like the looks, and the concept,
but I'm not convinved I'll like the boxer engine coupled with
sportsbike layout.
|
Didn't we have an argument about whether the R1100S was a sportsbike a
while back? Changed your mind, then?
|
a man who cannot change his mind is in danger of losing it.
|
getting fatter & older tends to force the issue...
|
well, I'm test riding something suitable for the fatter & older
gentleman tomorrow (not an R1100S), so you never know.
|
a Triumph is on my list of potential bikes, too. Not for a while though. 4
wheels to sort first.
|
So the Beemer is on its way out then? Is it falling to bits or do you
just want a change?
|
No, no & thrice no. There will be a time when the RGS is relegated to being
|
Jolly good - I was worried that the world was about to tilt on its axis.

a bike just for a local bimble and/or commuting. I don't think I will ever
sell it, just use it less as it ages.
I just fancy a bike for continental touring that can cruise on motorways
without the wind blast you get on the RGS at 100+. I'm starting to really
like Italy and the 700 mile slog down the motorway to get there is a pain
in the neck on the RGS. The Triumph ST would fit this bill. I've always

This I can understand. I dislike the wind blast and the noise.

fancied a triple and considered a Tiger in the past.
A couple of years yet, though. My job pays peanuts and I'm just changing
the car so a new bike is not a priority.

Failing that, I might still buy a Kawasaki W650 and grow a beard.
|
I thought you were getting a Speed Triple.

darsy in "can't quite decide what to buy" shocker.

|
Draw flies. Just think about it for a while.
If you still feel the same way
when you come back, it's okay by me.
Now get out of here before I decide to come with you.

"You'll be back, Rockatansky!"
