K800i FIrst Impressions

Ooh. *Nice*

Much better buttons (rubbery, rather than plasticy), nice user interface
(MMI?), data seems to update the TomTom *miles* faster ...
Based on the golf floorpan *SQUAWK*
Ffs, when I saw your name and the subject I thought you'd gone mental
and bought some obscure BMW bike.
Rest easy, old friend. I can think of only one BMW bike I'd buy, and
that would be an RGS 1150. And only then if it was a good deal, and
since the words "BMW bike" and "good deal" are almost never seen
together I reckon it's a safe bet to say I'd never own one.

... in the end I decided not to go with the Nokia N73, reason being was
that Nokia's site claims it as having comparable battery life to the
K800i, whereas Orange's site (where they've actually tested the thing)
gives its battery life as about a third of the K800i's.

The only question mark now is reliability, but having done some more
research on the net I don't think the Nokia will be any great shakes in
that department anyway.

I'm rather chuffed, and I had Orange's pants down on the contract too.
