OT: Paging Bear, JB, Timo, and anyone else who likes old BMW cars
|
My mate Neil has bought a 635CSi for under 500 quid
Written in his usual lovely style.
|
Interesting guy - certainly enjoys his engineering, just read a few of
his other projects.
|
You'd never guess that he's a code monkey by profession.
Mind you, I'm not sure any of his other projects have got to
completion.
|
Sounds just like a software engineer.
|
Quite. It's very normal practice for a code monkey to not finish one
particular task before going off and do...

I love them when they are mint low mileage!

I had one of those in that greeny grey colour. Really wish I'd kept it
now. It was mechanically perfect but the ex had an interface with a
taxi and the lovely shark nose was all stoved in. It sat on the drive
for ages, then a friend who builds kit cars was going to resurrect it,
so it sat in his garage and then he punted it on to a mechanic. Wonder
where it is now?

Nice. I remember buying any Autocar or Motor that had a test of the
6-series in. IIRC, the 630/633 came out in the late seventies as I
definitely remember lusting after them when I was 13 or 14.
I've bookmarked the site to keep an eye on Neil's progress. :o)

Nice, being a bit of a fan of 80's luxo barges I've always fancied one of
those.
